The men's group typically has it's regular meetings at 8:00 am on the first Saturday of each month.  Breakfast is always served. Double check the church calendar or this page to confirm the date and time of our next meeting. ALL men of the church are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Join us for a full day of youth oriented activities. Team Building Exercises, Games, Devotions, Music, Food and a great outreach project.  This will be a lock-in event. There is no cost and all meals will will be provided. This event is open to all community youth, 8th to 12th grade. Bishop's Day 2010

Called Out Creating New Places for New Faces

 
Join the Port Huron and Flint Discrict for Bishop's Day 2010.  The conference is being held at Trinty UMC in Lapeer Michigan on Saturday, March 13 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.  For more information Bishop's Day 2010
 
 
 

3rd Annual Scrap-booking Event

Friday night, March 19 and Saturday, March 20,SLUMC will be hosting our own Love INC Scrapbooking Fundraiser. This year, we are adding in Friday night too and participants can elect to do Saturday only, or to do both Friday and Saturday for the additional low charge of $10. The total cost for both dates is $50 ($40 for Saturday only). More information is located on the WFC Bulletin Board, or you can e-mail Stephanie Grant at Luvmymemories@cs.com.

 

2010 Men’s Retreat at Bay Shore Camp

March 26th through March 27th, come and be challenged in your walk with the Lord, eat great food and be encouraged to stay “Forever Strong.” Dr. Gary Glanville will be the guest speaker, and Seymour Lake’s own At The Crossroads will be part of the entertainment. The cost is $70 per person which includes all meals, duplex/cabin housing, materials and programming. Go to www.bayshorecamp.org for more information.

 Egg Hunt Palm Sunday at 3 p.m.

Once again, the Shepherds will be hosting an Easter Party for kids up through 6th grade, complete with games, crafts, and the ever-popular Easter Egg Hunt.  In the interest of reaching out to our surrounding com­munity, our hope is that each of our kids will invite a friend from outside the church to accompany them.  So mark your calendars and hop to it!
