 ORTONVILLE COMMUNITY EMERGENCY FUND
(OCEF)
  
 A volunteer charitable organization committed to provide assistance with food, personal need items and cleaning supplies for families in crisis situation. It will provide referrals to other human service organizations for services not provided by OCEF. And OCEF shall work with local government, businesses, community organizations and citizens of all ages to raise funds, gather donated goods and provide services to families in crisis situations.
 
Current Needs:  
toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, canned pasta, cake mix & frosting.

Volunteer Opportunities: 
Working in the Pantry helping clients on Pantry Day.       
Stocking the Pantry on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.  
Picking up fresh food from Whole Foods Grocery Store in Rochester on Tuesday or Thursday. 
 
Seymour Lake UMC partners with the

North Oakland County Affiliate of Love INC

 

 Love INC is a national faith-based non-profit

organization whose mission is:

 
To mobilize the Church
to transform lives and communities
In the Name of Christ.
 

  They accomplish this goal by networking Christian churches of all  denominations together and by assisting partner churches to develop   specialized ministries, so that collectively we can reach the people in  our community who are in need, far more effectively than we would  ever be able to do on our own. Seymour Lake UMC is currently in   the process of developing a “Gas Can” Ministry, which will raise funds for gas cards, so those in need will be able to get to their jobs, to job interviews, or to doctors for medical assistance.

By donating gently used and new

items tothe various Ministries

By supporting Love INC’s

Fundraising Activities By volunteering

either helping to sort donations
